Buena commencement looks to the future

As much as Buena High School’s 56th Commencement ceremony Thursday night was a celebration for 471 graduates, it was also a time to reflect on how far each has come as well as a moment to look forward on where their lives will take them.

More and more Arizona youth are taking up soccer as they look up to the stars in the FIFA World Cup and Major League Soccer.

SIERRA VISTA — After 13 years of lunch lines, stressful tests and long school days, Berean Academy seniors celebrated becoming graduates during Wednesday’s ceremony.

Surrounded by friends and family, 28 Berean students draped in red and blue caps and gowns sat on stage in the school auditorium and listened to speeches from fellow classmates and staff.
