New city director brings public, private sector experience

SIERRA VISTA — To fill the recently emptied position of Community Development director, the city of Sierra Vista has selected a Floridian with nearly 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.

Born and raised outside Detroit, Matt McLachlan cut his teeth in community planning and development working for a multi-discipline engineering firm in his home state of Michigan.

Cochise Animal Hospital opens under new ownership

BISBEE — After being closed for more than a month, leaving past clients wondering what had happened, Cochise Animal Hospital has reopened under new ownership.

Dr. Paula Tyler, who previously owned Benson Animal Hospital for 15 years until she sold it to an associate in 2012, bought the business from Dr. Charles Behney, who has owned the practice for many years.
