HUACHUCA CITY — Police in Huachuca City are on the lookout for a man they say approached a young girl on her way home from school and offered her a ride in his truck.

According to a press release from the Huachuca City Police Department, the incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Friday as the first-grader was heading home after getting off the school bus in the area of Yuma Street and Gonzales Boulevard.

After being asked if she wanted a ride, the girl ran to the nearby home of a relative, who called police.

Mr. Paul (Pipik) helps me with my reading and math,” Caleb told the board. “… He is very nice and he helps me with my school work. We read and play games and have fun. We are good friends and I am learning a lot from Mr. Paul.”
