Dallas Lee Terry

Dallas Lee Terry, 75, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at home in Boise, Idaho, after many years struggling with heart disease.

Dallas was born in Edgemont, S.D., on Sept. 6, 1939, to Violet and Lowell Terry. He attended schools in Edgemont, S.D., and Wyoming. He joined the Marines in 1958 and served with an honorable discharge in 1962.

He worked in Edgemont, S.D., at a grocery store, car dealership, and theater. He then went to work for civil service which took him to Umatilla, Ore., Hawthorne, Nev., and Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

Michael O. Reynolds Sr

Michael O. Reynolds Sr., age 65, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., lost his battle to lung cancer on Feb. 28, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents Barbara and Otis Reynolds, and sister Renee.
He is survived by son Michael Jr. (Rosie); granddaughter, Reyanna; sisters, Theresa, Linda and Angela; brother, Otis; friend, James Jones Jr. (Jay); special loving friend, Kathy Warren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Sierra Vista, Ariz., but born and raised in Minneapolis, Minn., Michael lived his life on his own terms, living life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him.   

Howard Gardner

Howard Gardner passed away at his home in Bisbee, Ariz., on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. A loving brother, husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Linda Holly of 50 years, and four children; Howard Jr. of Washington state, Pamela and Rick of Bisbee, Ariz., Steven and Jolene of Hereford, Ariz., and Brandon and Norma of Douglas, Ariz. He leaves behind two grandchildren, Kylee and Steven Jr., whom he adored; four step-grandchildren; along with three brothers and one sister.

Margaret "Marge” Goss

Margaret “Marge” Goss, 79, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.

Marge was born on Wednesday, July 10, 1935, in Mishawaka, Ind., to the late Harrison and Pleasant (Donathen) Kindig. Marge is also preceded in death by her brothers; Dean, Ronald and Owen Kindig, her sisters; Lucille Martin and Joan Cook. 

Marge moved to Sierra Vista in 2003 from Elkhart, Ind., where she raised her five children: Dawn Wolf of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Denise Hurlbut of Chattanooga, Tenn., Todd Goss of Elkhart, Ind., Timothy Goss of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Troy Goss of Las Vegas, Nev. She is also survived by her sister, Clarice Miles and brother, Martin Kindig; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Carrie Ballard

Carrie Ballard was born on St. Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1973. After gallbladder surgery and complications of pneumonia, she entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus in the presence of Mom and her friend, Katie at Prescott Hospital on Feb. 11, 2015. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Ballard of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and aunts, Kathy Wildenthaler of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Bales of Galion, Ohio, Terry Plummer of Raleigh, N.C.; and uncles, Jim Ballard of Huntsville, Ala., Mike of Johnson City, Tenn.; and 10 cousins. 

Warren Kelly Reynolds

Warren Kelly Reynolds, 86, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and formerly of Modesto, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at his home in Arizona.

Mr. Reynolds was born Feb. 17, 1929, in the Berdan community of Greene County, Ill., the son of Leslie and Bessie Kelly Reynolds. He married Donna Jean Lamkular on June 14, 1959, at the Literberry Christian Church in Literberry, Ill., and she survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Kelly Norling (husband, Bill) of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Scott, Karen and Chris; a brother, Kenyon Reynolds of Barry, Ill.; sister, Janet Schaller (husband, Norman) of Quincy, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, L.A. Flick; and one sister, Vivian Luck.

Mildred Joanna Galliher (Millie)

Mildred Joanna Galliher (Millie), born Aug. 2, 1944, passed away on Feb. 12, 2015. Millie was raised in Tucson, Ariz., and graduated from Pueblo High School in 1962. She went on to attend the University of Arizona from 1962 to 1969, receiving both bachelor and master of science degrees. In 1970, she moved to Bisbee, Ariz., and began her teaching career at Cochise College. She taught biology, anatomy, and physiology classes until her retirement in 2004. She returned to teach part-time at the college until 2011.

Millie enjoyed teaching. It was truly her calling in life and she was extremely proud of her status as Faculty Emeritus. More recently she taught computer skills at the Bisbee Senior Center.

Terian Murphy AKA: Terry Haire

Terian Murphy AKA: Terry Haire, 84 of Sonoita and Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2015, surrounded by children and grandchildren. She was born in Bisbee, Ariz., to Frank and Ann Murphy who were Homesteaders and Farmers in Double Adobe. She won $50 in 1931 in a beautiful baby contest in Cochise County. After graduating from Bisbee High School she attended Arizona State University and worked in civil service in Flagstaff, Ariz., at the Army Depot in Bellemont. She met and married Glen Dickens and moved to Huachuca City, Ariz., after the birth of their first child. Her husband was tragically taken from her in 1955 just 6 weeks after the birth of their second son.

Jerome (Jerry) Patrick Murphy

Jerome (Jerry) Patrick Murphy was born on Sept. 8, 1945, and passed away at his home in Bisbee on Feb. 24, 2015.

Jerry was born in Sharon, Pa., to James and Virginia Murphy. He moved to Arizona with his family as a young child and grew up in Tucson attending St. Ambrose Catholic School and graduating from Rincon High School.

Jerry moved to Bisbee in 1978 and there began his 42-year career with the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Here is where he met his wife of 38 years, Bonnie Booker Murphy. Jerry and Bonnie were blessed with two loving sons, Patrick and Michael Murphy, and three granddaughters Kaitlyn Murphy and, Kaitlin and Kenna Wilson.
