Rosanna Chacara

Rosanna Chacara was born in Tucson, Ariz., on Sept. 21, 1971, to Martha I. Campos (Aguirre) and Carlos O. Chacara. She passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, surrounded by her cherished family in Phoenix, Ariz. A memorial will be held celebrating Rosanna’s brilliant life on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Victory Worship Center (2561 W. Ruthrauff Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705).

Ben Armijo

Ben Armijo, 97, passed away May 19, 2015, in Sierra Vista. Ben was born in Reserve, N.M., on Sept. 28, 1917.

He was the son of Luis and Maria Armijo and had two brothers, Frank and Salvador, and five sisters, Perfie, Josie, Annie, Virginia, and Julia, the only remaining sibling.

Ben’s early years were spent in Reserve until he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC’s) as a young man. He was greatly influenced by the CCC where he developed a lifelong passion for good healthy living and exercise.

Mary Leisner

Mary Leisner, 77, of Sierra Vista, passed away at Canyon Vista Medical Center. As per her wishes she was cremated and no services will be held. Assisting the family was Hatfield Funeral Home.

Duane A. Diehl

Duane A. Diehl, 84, passed away on May 21, 2015. He was born in Wichita, Kan., to George and Florence (Meeder) Diehl, where he attended high school.

He served in the U.S. Navy and became a contract draftsman. He was also an avid woodcarver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jaqueline Diehl on Dec. 31, 2006.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 2053 Choctaw Drive. Pastor Virginia Studer will be officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will be at a later date in Vernon Hills, Ill., to join his wife Jaqueline.

Chaplain (Col.) Joseph Huseth

Chaplain (Col.) Joseph Huseth, age 88, passed away at Oakwood Village in Madison, Wis., on May 17, 2015. He grew up in Lake Mills, Iowa, and after graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was part of the 2nd Armored Division in Europe during the later part of World War II. He graduated from St. Olaf College in the spring of 1950 and married Elaine Carson in September. Two weeks later, he was again called to military service as a staff sergeant in the Korean Conflict where he was wounded twice and received two Purple Hearts plus the Silver Star for gallantry in action.

Judith Hageman Cooney

Judith Hageman Cooney, 61, passed in peace on Wednesday May 20, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. She was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., on Oct. 2, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Vera McCartney; and brother Barry Mccartney. She is survived by her husband Nigel Cooney; her two children Thomas Dale Hageman II (son), and Ashley Nicole Maria Hageman (daughter). She had three grandchildren. Judith was an amazing mother and grandma. 

Judith will be cremated at Hatfield Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held on May 30, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sierra Vista.

David M. Jordan

David M. Jordan, 80, of Sierra Vista, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Devon Gables Health Care Center of Tucson, Ariz. He had been a resident of Arizona for 18 years. A Celebration of David’s Life Service in New York are pending at this time. Private family interment will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Hatfield Funeral Home with online condolences at hatfieldfh.com.

Edward Harry Pagel

Edward Harry Pagel, 85, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery featuring the Navy Honor Guard. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hatfieldfh.com.

Corina C. Leza

Corina C. Leza, 95, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015. Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 12 p.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. A reciting of the Rosary will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Hatfield Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow. Joann Helen Campbell

Joann Helen Campbell, 63, a 29-year resident of Hereford, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was born at Ft. Lewis, Wash., to Dale L. and Helen J. (Blydenstein) Winston.

Joann was a loving Wife and Mother.

She is survived by her husband of 42-years, Ronald Campbell; a daughter, Mary Darren of Arizona, and a son, Christopher Campbell of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Kiley Amber Madrid Campbell, and Sienna Helena Darren, both of Arizona.

Services will be held at a later date.
