Bret "Otis" Shirley

Bret (Otis) Lawrence Shirley, 51, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed on July 4, 2015. He was born April 19, 1964, in Canoga Park, Calif., to Lowell and Vivian Shirley.

He is survived by his loving parents Lowell and Vivian Shirley of Sierra Vista, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Ruthie Shirley, of California, and nephew Matthew Shirley.

Otis had a contagious laugh, a caring heart and never knew a stranger. Goodbye Uncle Otis, your time came way too soon. You will be greatly missed.

Hoa Thi Bryson

Hoa Thi Bryson of Tucson, Ariz., passed away on July 5, 2015, surrounded by family.

Born in Vietnam in 1935, Hoa left in 1975 and married the love of her life, Charles Bryson, who precedes her in death. She lived in Sierra Vista until 2001, then moved to Tucson to be closer to family, especially her two grandsons whom she adored more than anything else in the world.

She was an excellent cook, a dog lover, enjoyed gardening and cherished her friends and family.

Hoa is survived by her daughter, Lien (Shane) Harris; grandsons, Cody and Jake, all of Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Vinh (Boi) Nguyen; sisters, Sang (Sau) Nguyen, Tim (Bay) Nguyen, and Ngoc Nguyen, all of Vietnam; a brother-in-law, Harry (Mona) Bryson of Orient, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosalie Webster, 89, of Sierra Vista passed away, Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at the Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 N. Lenzner Ave., Sierra Vista with Intern Pastor Jennifer Shaw officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at the Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista.

Edwin Reed, Jr. Lt. Col. U.S. Army, Ret.

Ed (Lt. Col. U.S. Army Retired) went to meet his Lord and Savior June 27, 2015, after a short battle with cancer. Ed was born July 30, 1928, in Merchantville, N.J., to Edwin and Dorothy Nelson Reed. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Patricia, his son Michael Reed and his grandson, Michael Shin Reed.

Diane Marie Hrach

Diane Marie Hrach, a long time resident of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away on June 30, 2015, at the age of 68. She has been called to Heaven to be with her parents, her sister, Alice, and her son, Michael.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and inspirational teacher for many years. She is survived by her husband David Hrach of 48 years, her three daughters, April, Michele and Sarah, their husbands, Dusty, Michael and Ian, and six grandchildren who all adored their Mimi. Other survivors include her sister Elaine and husband Dave, her sister Carol and husband John, her brother Paul and wife Laura, and her brother George, as well as countless friends.

Gerda Martha Rimron

Gerda Martha Rimron, 74, passed away at her home on June 27, 2015. She was a resident of Sierra Vista, Ariz., for 34 years.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward E. Rimron; sons Patrick L. Rimron (Allison-Norton Rimron) of Winston Salem, N.C., and David E. Rimron (Maryclaire Rimron) of Tucson, Ariz.; and her sister Lieselotte Gehring (Richard Gehring) of Bruchweiler-Barenbach, Germany.

A remembrance service and reception will be held at her home on July 3, 2015, at 10 a.m.
