Ronald W. Bell

Ronald W. Bell, 69, died on Sunday, June 7, 2015. A memorial service is at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 3 S. Randolph Street, in San Angelo, Texas, with inurnment following in the church courtyard columbarium. Fr. Jarod Houze will officiate. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home of San Angelo, Texas.
Ron was born Sept. 3, 1945, in La Porte, Ind., to Wayne Earl Bell and Doris Eileen (Mohr) Bell, and had been a resident of San Angelo since 1984 following his retirement from the U.S. Army.

Carmen M Renteria

Carmen M Renteria was received in our Lord’s arms on June 3, 2015, in Tucson, Ariz. at the age of 50.  

Carmen is survived by her birth mother, Marianne Friedrich; and her mother, Ramona Figueroa Renteria; her siblings, Angelica Renteria, Joseph Renteria, Rosita Weinrich, Ramona Renteria Figueroa, Marisol Renteria, Mona Franz, Gino Franz; her children, Eric Sean Necochea, Ashley Necochea, Jay Renteria; her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Dominic and Lilyana; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by father, Gildardo “Cuate” Renteria.

Don L. Young

Don L. Young of Sierra Vista, Ariz., 86, passed away of, natural causes, on June 1, 2015.

Don grew up on a farm in Iowa. His first job was driving a tractor on the family farm, 12 hours a day at the age of 12. He graduated from Simpson College with a degree in social work and then attended Drew University earning a master’s degree in Divinity and a master’s degree in counseling. He served churches of the United Methodist Church, the United Church of Christ and the National Council of Churches in Montana, Ohio, Arizona and Washington. He retired in 1996 and moved to Sierra Vista with his wife Helene where they have lived for the past 19 years. 

Ronald L. Walter, CPCM Lieutenant Colonel, US Army (Retired)

Former long–time Sierra Vista resident and business owner, Ronald Lee Walter, 72, died in his Scottsdale, Ariz., home on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Ron grew up in San Bernardino, Calif., where he worked at his parents furniture and upholstery store until graduating from high school and receiving an appointment to West Point Military Academy, the realization of a long-standing dream of his and the beginning of what was to become a rewarding 20 year career as an Infantry Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army.

He proudly served his country as a platoon leader during his two tours in Vietnam and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1985, settling in the Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca area, which he would call his home for the next 25 years.

Donald Stein

Donald Stein, 90, of Saint Louis, Mo., went to be with the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
Beloved husband of Norma J. (nee Gregory) of 59 years; father of Bill (Cathy) of Huachuca City, David (Cynthia), and the late Robert (Lana); grandfather of Daniel, Rachel, Andrew (Summer), Lucas, Jacob, Jesse, and Dan; brother of Lois, Eileen, and the late Ruth and Shirley; dear uncle, cousin, and friend. Donald was a proud World War II veteran and Cardinals baseball fan.
Services and Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, Mo. 

Elinor May Johnson

Elinor May Johnson, 90, passed away in Tucson, Ariz. on May 13, 2015. Elinor was born on May 10, 1925 in Battle Creek, Mich. Elinor was the fifth of six children of David Hoy and Mildred Sweetland Hoy and grew up in Battle Creek, Mich. Elinor attended Western Michigan University and worked for at a time at Kellogg Cereal Co. before marrying Carlton W. Coss. Elinor and Carl moved to Tucson in 1957, when Carl hired on to Hughes Aircraft as an accountant. Elinor and Carl were married for 20 years and raised three children in the Glen Heather neighborhood of Tucson, Ariz. Elinor obtained a bachelor’s in Education from Arizona State University in the early 1970s. Elinor was then married to Rev. Wilbur R. Johnson for 20 years.

Ashley L. Wright

Ashley Wright, 34, loving mother and daughter, passed away on May 30, 2015, in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She was born in Tucson, Ariz., and raised in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She graduated from Buena High School in 1999.
Ashley worked with special education students at Apache Middle School and Village Meadows Elementary for 10 years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader. She was loved and adored by all of her Brownies and Daisies. Ashley was well known for her big smile and bubbly personality.
Ashley is survived by her daughter, Madyson Wright of Sierra Vista; her brothers Daniel Wright of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jonathan Wright of Sierra Vista; and her parents Faith and Allen Wright of Sierra Vista.

Donald “Don” L. Young, 86, of Sierra Vista, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Canyon Vista Medical Center of Sierra Vista.
A memorial service will be Monday, June 8, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 N. Lenzner Ave., with Pastor Mark Perry officiating.

Lillian B. Wadsworth

Lillian B. Wadsworth, 92, of Sierra Vista, Ariz. passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, starting at 11 a.m located at St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church, Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon. Maxine Wilson Oshel

Maxine Wilson Oshel died Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Prestige Assisted Living in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She was born March 29, 1923, in the same rock house that her mother was born in near Edgerton, Kan. She was the daughter of Royal and Bessie Seckinger Wilson. 

Upon graduation from Gardner High School in Gardner, Kan., she enrolled at Brown-Mackie Business school in Kansas City. Later she attended Baker University at Baldwin City, Kan.
