Robert "Bob" S. Carpenter, Sr.

Bob went to his Lord on July 4, 2015. Born in Ludlow, Ky., on April 14, 1925, he married his beloved wife and best friend Betty in 1944 and they spent 65 wonderful years together before Betty passed in 2009.

Benny Clark Granado

Benny “Ben” Clark Granado (SMSGT), 82, of Sierra Vista, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015, with family by his side. A memorial service  will be held at the Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard on Friday, July 10, at 2 p.m.

Benny Clark Granado, 82, of Sierra Vista, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015, in Sierra Vista, Ariz. James W. "Jimmie" Kidd

James Kidd was born on Aug. 20, 1957, in Centreville, Va., to Louis and Mary Kidd, and passed away of natural causes on July 1, 2015, in Sierra Vista. James, better known as Jimmie to his friends, grew up and spent most of his life in Sierra Vista, Ariz. He was a gentle man, a kind hearted man, a free spirit. He lived life his way, with a free soul.

You may have seen Jimmie on his daily walks down Fry Blvd. He enjoyed being outside and watching the day to day activity that surrounded him. The “King of Fry” will be missed by many.

He is survived by his sister Carol and her husband Ralph Evely of Springfield, Va.; and a brother Louis O. Kidd Jr. He is preceded in death by his devoted parents and a sister, Linda Kay Rogers.

Rosalie Jane Darlene (Herren) Webster

Rosalie Jane Darlene (Herren) Webster, 89, of Sierra Vista passed away, Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
Rosalie was born on April 18, 1926, to the late Freeman and Hattie (Flesner) Herren Golden, Ill. She was baptized in Trinity Lutheran Church, in Golden on April 25, 1926, by The Reverend J.R. Frentzel and was confirmed on April 2, 1939, in the Trinity Lutheran Church by The Reverend K.W. Braun. Confirmation Verse Job 5:24. She graduated from Golden High School on May 11, 1944.
She was married by The Reverend K.W. Braun to Henry “Hank” J. Webster on May 4, 1947. She enjoyed her family and spent time fishing. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack #42 in Golden for many years.

Clara E. Pierce

Clara Elizabeth (Otto) (Hammans) Pierce at 87 years old, went to heaven to be with her loved ones on July 5, 2015, at the Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz. Clara was born April 2, 1928, in Gibbon, Neb., to the late Harold and Ida (Fuller) Otto in Gibbon, Neb.

Clara was married to the late Elton Lloyd Hammans April 17, 1946, in Kearney, Neb. She, also, was married to the late Fred Pierce in 1983 in Omaha, Neb. She was a devout member of the Church of Latter Days Saints and enjoyed many trips to the temple. She enjoyed doing needlecraft. She made over 1,000 Flags of the United States, after 9/11, and she enjoyed handing them out to anyone that wanted them in remembrance of the day.

Bret "Otis" Shirley

Bret (Otis) Lawrence Shirley, 51, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed on July 4, 2015. He was born April 19, 1964, in Canoga Park, Calif., to Lowell and Vivian Shirley.

He is survived by his loving parents Lowell and Vivian Shirley of Sierra Vista, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Ruthie Shirley, of California, and nephew Matthew Shirley.

Otis had a contagious laugh, a caring heart and never knew a stranger. Goodbye Uncle Otis, your time came way too soon. You will be greatly missed.

Hoa Thi Bryson

Hoa Thi Bryson of Tucson, Ariz., passed away on July 5, 2015, surrounded by family.

Born in Vietnam in 1935, Hoa left in 1975 and married the love of her life, Charles Bryson, who precedes her in death. She lived in Sierra Vista until 2001, then moved to Tucson to be closer to family, especially her two grandsons whom she adored more than anything else in the world.

She was an excellent cook, a dog lover, enjoyed gardening and cherished her friends and family.

Hoa is survived by her daughter, Lien (Shane) Harris; grandsons, Cody and Jake, all of Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Vinh (Boi) Nguyen; sisters, Sang (Sau) Nguyen, Tim (Bay) Nguyen, and Ngoc Nguyen, all of Vietnam; a brother-in-law, Harry (Mona) Bryson of Orient, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosalie Webster

Rosalie Webster, 89, of Sierra Vista passed away, Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at the Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 N. Lenzner Ave., Sierra Vista with Intern Pastor Jennifer Shaw officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at the Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista.
