“Man-bodies.”
That’s the preferred term of Buena boys basketball coach Dave Glasgow to describe opponents’ front-court players who are big, strong, mature and typically present nightmares to his guard-oriented squad.
The Cesar Chavez Champions have two such “man-bodies” in 6-foot-6, 220-pound senior L.J. Harmon and 6-foot-5, 185-pound sophomore Paul Rivas, who combined for 28 points and 25 rebounds in a 98-77 win at Buena on Dec. 22.
