BISBEE — The Bisbee Copper Kings made sure their first losing streak of the season was a short one, sweeping Friday’s doubleheader with the Tucson Yard Dogs and coming back Saturday to manage a split.

Willcox native Cole George got the pitching start in Saturday’s opener and went seven strong innings. Alex Coplon got the win, however, coming on in relief to throw the final four innings in a 4-3, 11-inning win. Shortstop Kaleb Brawner put down a successful squeeze bunt to bring home the winning run in the 11th.
