BISBEE — The Bisbee Copper Kings kicked off the first day of the Field of Dreams Collegiate Memorial Weekend with a pair of wins on Friday.
In the morning, the Kings defeated KFC 4-3 in eight innings when Dominic Gamboa scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Kaleb Brawner.
That game, played as a result of the Pasqua Yaqui Indians pulling out of the tournament, did not count toward the round robin standings, but Friday night’s 5-0 win over the Tucson Legends did.
