Sectionals roundup: Jackets send two runners to state meet

MARANA — The Tombstone High cross country team qualified two runners for state Saturday at the Division IV, Sectional III meet at Marana High School.
Senior Dan McGowan finished ninth in the boys race in 19:00 and sophomore Megan Soto placed 13th in the girls race in 25:36.
In each sectional meet, the top half of the scoring teams and the top 20 individuals qualify for the state meet to be held on Saturday at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix.
