Hall of Famer Parra takes 2nd at Horseshoe Worlds
BISBEE — Bisbee resident Ralph Parra took second place last month in the men’s Class E at the World Horseshoe Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A regular for years at the event, Parra hopes to take his game even higher when he retires in two years.
“Once I reach my retirement, I’ll be able to compete more… I’ll work on elevating my game even more,” Parra said. “I just have a love for the game. I have a pit in my backyard, and I practice and practice, but until you compete, that’s where you get the feel.”
