TUCSON — The Bisbee Copper Kings’ run in the Pacific Southwest Baseball League tournament came to an early and disappointing end Sunday afternoon after the top seed was eliminated by the Tucson Yard Dawgs 9-3 in the losers’ bracket final.

Bisbee had beaten the Yard Dawgs 5-3 in the tournament opener, but after losing to Casa Grande 13-7 on Saturday night, the Copper Kings did not have their best baseball on the ready Sunday.

I don’t think we competed with much fire,” Bisbee manager Bill Moore said.
