TUCSON — Buena’s Ashley Weber and Jeremy Tuttle, along with Bisbee’s Christian Young, each took first place in their respective events at the Willie Williams Classic at the University of Arizona’s Roy P. Drachman Stadium on Friday.

Tuttle, on his first throw in the finals, threw the shot put 51 feet, 2 3/4 inches to edge out the second-place finisher by 1/4-inch.

It was one of my better throws in the shot put,” Tuttle said. “I have been throwing 50 feet in most of my meets and in practice so far this season.”
