Tuttle breaks own records to win discus, javelin in Willie Williams Classic

TUCSON — Buena junior Jeremy Tuttle followed up Friday’s win in the shot put with an outstanding performance Saturday in the discus event. He set a new school record of 180 feet, 4 inches during the final day of the Willie Williams Classic at the Roy P. Drachman Stadium in Tucson.

The old mark was 176 feet set by Tuttle earlier this season.

In between, Tuttle, competing unattached, won the collegiate/open division in the javelin with a 198 foott, 3 1/2 inch effort, breaking his own record of 186 feet, 8 inches set in 2009.
