ST. DAVID — The St. David baseball team scored on a triple in the sixth inning to beat Tombstone 3-2 on Tuesday night.

The Yellowjackets may have had a better chance against the Tigers in their season-opener had they recorded more than one hit in the game.

We had no offense,” Tombstone head coach Dennis Diltz said. “We had really good pitching, and they were a good team. I’m proud of my guys.”
