Probably no minor in the Western United States throws the javelin farther than Buena High School junior Jeremy Tuttle. He set new records in the intermediate divison at the USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field Region 10 meet in July with heaves of 175 feet in the javelin and 169 in the discus.
When football began in the fall, Tuttle emerged as Buena’s starting quarterback showing an unparalleled arm strength. He was a hard-hitting, playmaking safety on a strong Buena defense.
