On The Record: Bisbee police report Jan. 6-12
6:24 a.m. A caller reported a male subject was living in a RV parked for an extended time in the Opera Drive parking lot was causing a noise disturbance and littering.
6:52 a.m. Bisbee Police assisted the Sheriff’s Office with an incident involving a woman and her son who were reported arguing loudly at Napa Auto Parts.
11:56 a.m. A loud music disturbance was reported on the 100 block of Silver Street.
1:08 p.m. A man and woman were reported arguing at Grassy Park causing a disturbance.
1:09 p.m. A caller witnessed a suspicious transaction at a residence on Headstart Way involving two male subjects and a female subject purchasing an unknown substance.
5:28 p.m. A resident on the 100 block of Wolverine reported animal abuse by a neighbor who had multiple cats that the caller stated were malnourished. One animal got out, was taken to the vet and had to be euthanized due to animal abuse.
7:18 p.m. A young male subject was reported sleeping in the post office on Highway 92.
7:38 p.m. A clerk at the Chevron Station reported a male subject came into the store and was being verbally abusive. A description was provided and when the subject went outside the clerk locked the door.
11:54 a.m. The owner of property on the 500 block of Hermosa Place reported it appeared someone had broken into his shed there. Illegal immigrants were found hiding in the shed. They were turned over to the Border Patrol and an extra patrol was requested for the area.
2:41 p.m. An assault was reported at Lowell School. No further information is available at this time.
10:16 p.m. A suspicious person with a flashlight was reported on the roadway across from the ball park.
1:24 a.m. A caller reported hearing what sounded like five or six gunshots in the area of School House Inn.
4:46 a.m. Someone damaged the front door lock at Pioneer Title on Bisbee Road. The door was not opened but the lock was damaged. An extra patrol was requested as a similar incident had occurred when the back door was also damaged.
9:27 a.m. Someone hit a parked car on the 900 block of Tombstone Canyon.
2:39 p.m. A resident on the 100 block of San Jose Drive reported criminal damage to her property after returning from out of town. Possible BB gun holes were found in her window and storm door off her patio and another window in her Arizona room also has holes in it.
1:44 p.m. A caller reported the driver of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Hazzard Street and McNeish Avenue appears to be casing the homes there.
2:57 p.m. A resident at Esperanza Apartments reported a male subject was following her and harassing her.
3:48 p.m. An incident of harassment was reported at Bisbee High School. No additional information is available at this time.
4:30 p.m. A male subject was reported yelling at employees and using foul language in front of customers at Safeway. A Safeway manager wanted the man removed.
5:18 p.m. Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Highway 80 and Spring Canyon. No further information is available at this time.
4:44 p.m. A male subject was reported yelling obscenities near the restrooms at Vista Park.
8:34 p.m. A resident on the 100 block of Pittsburg Avenue reported medications missing from her home.
10:25 p.m. A report of an assault was received from a resident on the 100 block of Cochise Drive who sustained injuries to his mouth and left eye. The assault reportedly took place on the 100 block of San Jose Drive. All witnesses questioned there described the sequence of events the same way; the man claiming to be the victim was the actual aggressor and had tried to hit another man in the neck. After that, he had been thrown out of the residence. No one was charged but the incident will be sent to the county attorney for review.
3:28 a.m. A woman was heard screaming on Bisbee Road. The area was searched but nothing suspicious was found.
6:34 a.m. An officer discovered signs of a break in at the Hitching Post.
9:23 a.m. A homeless man was reported causing a disturbance at Burger King, yelling obscenities.
5:48 p.m. A male and female subject in a dark blue sedan were reported engaged in a domestic dispute on Cochise Lane. One of the subjects was on top of the vehicle yelling as the vehicle headed toward the VFW.
2:28 p.m. Someone was reported throwing rocks at cars on Tombstone Canyon from above, just past the Circle K on the left side of the road.
7:57 p.m. A resident on the zero block of Czar Avenue reported someone had stolen his daughter’s bike from his front porch today.
