Our View: Lack of fed judges a serious issue

Send to friendAt the beginning of the year, Judge John Roll, the presiding federal judge in Arizona, was seeking permission to delay bringing felons to trial from the usual 70 day requirement to up to 180 days. That’s the same Judge Roll who was gunned down just days later in Tucson by a deranged assassin.
Roll termed the problem a “judicial emergency” prompted by the number of cases flooding the judicial docket in Arizona and the federal court’s inability to handle them all in a speedy fashion.

Keep re-electing McCain, Giffords, etc., and for sure nothing will get done. McCain has beed in congress for several decades and all he wants to do is give amnesty to illegals. Arizona’s senate is no help in the defeat of the last four bills targetting illegal alien issues. Our country is goig to pot (literally) with this indifferent attitude. Are we for the USA or not?
How about you run against Giffords and McCain this next round, put your money where your mouth is.

Before he became president our borders were locked up tight… wait a minute, no thats not true. So maybe we need to blame Bush? By that theory we should blame Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, Carter, etc… The border has been a problem that NO administration has taken care of. I am no Obama fan, but blaming him and his administration for a problem that ALL politicians refuse to fix is absurd. Should he do more? Of course. His administration should be attacking the problem, but so should have past administrations and they ALL FAILED.
If we want to deport them we have to have judges. How many thousands of cases were withdrawn in the last year because of backlogs plus a memo from John Morton? (see: http://bit.ly/b3DWxl and http://nyti.ms/b7PvXt)
Worse yet, how many dangerous criminal were turned loose because their cases couldn’t be heard soon enough or they couldn’t be deported fast enough? (See: http://bit.ly/hwWGcE and http://bit.ly/9yiDpY)
Unfortunately the biggest problem right now is and administration that does as little as possible to secure our borders, deport people who shouldn’t be here or even keep dangerous criminal illegal aliens in custody. It’s easy to see why some people say this President is out to destroy the United States of America when the actions of his administration are so anti-American.
Oh please it is NOT a lack of Fed Judges it is a LACK of security on the border! Only the Herald would blame immigration issues on the lack of judges. Why don’t you print the truth and say lack of military on our borders in the cause of the ILLEGALS coming here to destroy America. If we really secure the border then we would not have the back load in the court systems. WAKE UP HERALD and print the truth about the lack of security!
