Solar plants need more answers
Mon, 12/14/2009 - 1:12am
Last week, the Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted to allow the placement of two solar powered plants in the county.
The areas singled out for these facilities are in remote, agricultural areas. One is planned near Bowie and the other off Kansas Settlement Road south of Willcox.
We are pleased the zoning commissioners agreed to vote to move these projects closer to fruition.
Solar power technology may still be in its nascent stage in Arizona, but many parts of the nation have been moving to allow construction.
