Mallory Jane Hooper July 28, 1988 — December 13, 2013

Our Mallory Jane Hooper came into this world with a zest for life — born in Wuerzburg, Germany, to adoring parents, William (Bill) Hooper and Beth (Gignac) Hooper and as the loving baby sister to Justin Conner and Cassie Conner. They loved and adored their little sister, often looking up to her for support and guidance.

Mallory was an Army “brat” and attended many schools. Her smile and sense of humor always ensured she would fit in and make lifelong friends. She moved to Sierra Vista with her family in 1998, graduated from Buena High School in 2006, attended Cochise College, then moved on to the “Big City” — Phoenix — to continue her education and begin the journey of adulthood. The friends she made in Phoenix and Sierra Vista were as loyal and loving to Mallory as she was to them.

In 2011, Mallory moved to San Antonio, Texas, to be near her loving parents. We were so happy to have her home with us. In San Antonio, more lifelong friendships were made. She had many friends but the love her life, Jacob Wood, kept the smile on her face and encouraged her to follow all of her dreams.  Jacob’s daughter, Lanessa (7), was such an important part of her life and Mallory loved her as her own.

We could write a book on Mallory’s excursions, adventures, and love of life, fashion, and music. But it is time to say goodbye, at least for a little while. Our hearts are forever broken as are so many who knew and loved her. Time will mend the brokenness we feel, but the scar will forever remain. We miss you, boo. Momma-bird, Daddy, Justin, and Cassie miss you deeply.

Mallory is survived by her loving parents, William and Beth (Gignac) Hooper of Colorado Springs, Colo.; big brother, Justin Conner and wife Juliet of Phoenix with Mallory’s niece, Aurora Conner, and nephew, Braeden; and big sister, Cassie Conner of Goodyear; Judy Gignac-Leininger, grandmother, and step-grandfather, Uncle Ollie (O.O. Leininger) of Sierra Vista; loving grandfather, aka Pee-Paw, Paul Gignac of Sierra Vista; uncle Chris Gignac, wife Geri (Sanders) and cousins Chad and AlainaGignac; auntie Kelly Burnham, husband (Chris Burnham) and cousin Thomas of Las Cruces, N.M.; aunt Holly Hall of Savannah, Ga.; cousin, Chapman (Sellers) Morrow and family of Memphis, Tenn.; and the love of her life, Jacob Wood, and daughter, Lanessa Wood, of San Antonio, Texas.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Hatfield Funeral Home.
