Learn to attract Mexican shoppers at SBDC workshop

The main reason Mexican nationals visit Arizona is to shop. Did you know that Mexican visitors spent $186.4 million in Cochise County during 2007-08?

The Cochise College Small Business Development Center and the Sierra Vista Chamber of Commerce are partnering to offer a free workshop Feb. 19 designed to help you understand better how to increase your sales to our neighbors to the south. The workshop is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sierra Vista Chamber of Commerce, located at 21 E. Willcox Drive.

No, Ms Manring, I didn’t know that “Mexican visitors spent $186.4 million in
Cochise County during 2007-08. I’m sure you didn’t just make up that
statistic. Would it have been too much trouble to cite your source?

How much of it is money from Mexico, and how much is it given to them as
ENTITLEMENTS from our government? You know, if they did not come across the
border illegally, and spent the money in their own shops, their economy would
be better. We don’t need to spend more money to make them more welcome here.
Spend the money for the American benefits.
