Conlogue set to become Superior Court presiding judge
BISBEE — James Conlogue will become the new presiding judge in Cochise County effective Jan. 1, replacing Presiding Judge Wallace Hoggatt.
“I’m honored by the Arizona Supreme Court’s vote of confidence and I look forward to serving as the presiding judge of the Superior Court in Cochise County,” Conlogue said of his appointment by the Arizona Supreme Court.
Conlogue has served with Hoggatt as the associate presiding judge and presiding criminal court judge. He was appointed as Superior Court judge to the newly created Division 5 effective January 2007 and he was elected to the position in November of 2008. He served as Judge Pro Tempore for the Superior Court since December 1994.
