Representatives for both parties observe ballot counting

BISBEE — Monitoring uncounted early ballots as they are being tallied is akin to watching paint dry, and that’s what observers at the Cochise County Election Office have been doing all day Wednesday and Thursday and will continue to do today.

While local Democrats are representing their party, Republicans are using lawyers to do the same.

Casey Jones, who has his hat in the ring to be the next chairman of the Cochise County Republican Committee, said the Martha McSally campaign and the Arizona Republican Committee have hired a law firm to monitor the counting of ballots which have not been processed.
