Coronado keeps parents engaged in 'evolving classroom'

PALOMINAS— It’s widely accepted that parental involvement is a key to academic success, but when so much is changing in Arizona classrooms it can be tough for parents to keep up.

That’s why Coronado Elementary School hosted its first ever Parent Education Night on Thursday, giving parents a dedicated time to learn about new programs being implemented at the school and ask questions one-on-one. Staff members stood at the ready to discuss the Beyond Textbooks curriculum map, Galileo testing, and the imminent transition to Common Core Standards.
