While officially the investigation into last year’s Monument Fire is “closed-unsolved,” there is no doubt it was human-caused. What is not known is whether it was accidentally started, or was lit as a diversion for criminal activities involving drug or people smuggling, Coronado National Forest spokeswoman Heidi Schewel said.

We know it was human-caused, there was no lightning in the area,” Schewel said during a telephone interview with the Herald/Review Monday.

Title: Even still..

there are those who will vehemently deny that there was any possibility that it was illegals.  Some people should apologize to McCain for trashing him when he suggested the possibility.  You won’t see that happen though.  But hey, we are all safe right?  There is nothing wrong with our border, Obama says so.  They will continue to ignore the wonderful side effects of illegal immigration.

I really don’t believe the fire was set intentionally, I think it was inadvertently started by illegals.  I don’t think there is ill will or anyone deliberately wanted to do this, but it still highlights the precarious position we are in when people can randomly cross our border and we cannot enforce restrictions or laws in this country and the idiots in the Federal government are suing AZ when they are failing miserably.

Title: I agree..

I do not think this fire was intentional, human caused, yes- we knew that like 9 months ago.  The Sheriffs Department spokesman is starting to remind me of ol’ Carol Capas in SV, sounds pretty clueless..

“Some people should apologize to McCain for trashing him when he suggested
the possibility”

No, they shouldn’t, because he didn’t “suggest the possibility”: he stated it
was a FACT that was backed up by “substantial evidence”.

Now it’s been almost a year, and he has yet to present _any_ of that
evidence. McCain got “trashed” because he made stuff up, contradicting the
people who actually fighting and investigating the fires, to score political
 points.

“There is nothing wrong with our border, Obama says so.”

But you don’t mind, of course, because you like to do exactly the same thing:
Obama has never said anything of the sort.
