Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Signal Command commanding general Maj. Gen. Jennifer Napper talked to Valley View fourth-grade students last week about written and spoken languages. First she read Lewis Carroll’s “Jabberwocky,” a poem of nonsense verse, and then explained the Army’s ABCs, the phonetic alphabet of Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and so on.

Village Meadows Elementary School in SIerra Vista is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. The school will be hosting a big birthday bash, which will include an alumni lunch on May 7.
