Buena Fine Arts opened its production of “A Christmas Carol” on Thursday night to a large crowd. Another show is planned at 7 p.m. today at Buena High School’s Performing Arts Center.

Send to friendVFW Post 9972 in hosting a catfish fry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the post, 549 Veterans Drive. Meal includes catfish, cod or roast beef. Karaoke entertainment will be provided from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. The gathering is open to all members and their guests.
Mountain View Golden Kiwanis is collecting usable books and audio books for an upcoming book sale fundraiser. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Books can be dropped off at 2751 Glenview Drive in Sierra Vista or call 803-9932 or 803-9048 for pickup.
