First home sells in Benson development

Send to friendBENSON — After selling the first house recently, the experimental House Ridge Estates revival project has been deemed a success by project managers.
George Scott of the Southeast Arizona Economic Development Group said the first home sold in the 17-home project closed.
In February, the group worked with several banks to take over House Ridge Estates, which had gone into bankruptcy in 2007 when the recession hit the Arizona development economy hard.
