Members of Sierra Vista Elks lodge #2065 entertained 17 veterans from the Sight Impaired Unit of the Tucson Veterans’ Hospital at breakfast on Sunday. Each veteran enjoyed a cooked-to-order breakfast and was presented with a gift bag of toiletries and other personal items. Above, veteran Richard Romolo and his service dog, Alfonso, enjoyed breakfast with Elks Auxiliary President Dick Starr.

Send to friendThe Cochise Citizens for Patients’ Rights invites citizens to a Keep Our Care Rally at 2:30 p.m. today in front of the Windemere Hotel in Sierra Vista, prior to a town hall meeting sponsored by Sierra Vista Regional Health Center.
The Democratic Women of Southeast Arizona will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pueblo del Sol Country Club. The program for this next month will include presentations on the pros and cons of several initiatives on the general election ballot. For more information or reservations, call Perry at 378-1874.
