to answer.

I am not in the industry…but the way you defend it, you may just want to
watch yours…

Is this more political hoopla from Gabby Giffords? I am more concened about
the Illegal Drug Cartels coming across the Mexican Border than anything else.
That’s what the Sheriff Coalition has set themselves up to block all those
attempts. The Drug Cartels have dominated Mexican politics for a long time.
Can’t blame those Mexican people trying to excape all those problems.

Gabrielle has had 4 years to work on this. NOT ONE SINGLE PIECE OF
LEGISLATION SHE HAS AUTHORED ON THE BORDER HAS BECAME LAW! Look it up for
yourself. In fact She hasn’t had ANY legislation made into law according to
the independent, non-partisan website Govtrack. “Gabrielle Giffords has
sponsored 42 bills since Jan 4, 2007 of which 32 haven’t made it out of
committee and none were successfully enacted.”
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=412188 Instead on her watch,
the money that was approved for the border fence was revoked. Where was she
then? Now, during an election year where Giffords is vulnerable, Nancy Pelosi
and crew allow a couple of NG troops come “observe and report”. Excuse me,
but wasn’t the Minutemen doing the EXACT SAME THING for FREE? How can anyone
think she is “tough on the border” is beyond me.

Title: Wrong angelo

Protecting the international border is not a House issue. It is a Senate
issue. How many bills have your republican twits mccain and kyle sponsored?
Oh just one comes to mind and it was for amnesty. On mccains watch millions
of illegals have come across the border. What have the republicans done to
protect the border? Nothing. What did Republican Kolbe do to protect the
border? Nothing. The public is tired of the do nothing republican agenda. How
anyone can support a republican who supports amnesty is beyond me!

I feel a little sorry for Dr. Thrasher and those folks who think she’s doing
a good job. Don’t they remember when she drew the line in the sand and solved
the whole problem?

IN defense of the Ranchers.. they are the ones she is talking too. She has
been there for them… As for the rest of us.. she is using them to get
re-elected. Once November is here.. and if by some chance she is still in
office she will abandon them just like the rest of us. And the only reason
she has been there for the ranchers is to try and save her job. I don’t blame
them, she can fool them once.. but hopefully only once and at that I hope she
doesn’t succeed at the once.

Yes they are north at different stations, they are at checkpoints and they
are ALSO on the border. The more I see comments like this the more I realize
that people truly love to talk about what they don’t understand. If illegals
just SAT on the border, that strategy would work, the TRUTH is that illegals
do not stay on the border, they move NORTH. If there was only one wall of
defense at the border and once they cleared that no one else, the Border
Patrol would have a much lower capture rate than it already does. Nice of all
you armchair agents to give your unprofessional, unexperienced and
unknowledgable opinions that are wrong.

Title: I agree

Windsor I agree with you but having fixed checkpoints are really stupid. A
famous Patton quote, “Fixed fortifications are a testament to the stupidity
of man”. The only things these do is make them go around the checkpoints. I
do agree that they should not be just on the border and should be farther
back as well but we need a tough and hard to get over wall to slow them down
enough to catch later down the road.

secondary roads where the BP also patrol. Very useful tactic and keeps any
chase or pulls off the main roads.
