Props results to go to court
BISBEE — Once again, the city finds itself involved in responding to complaints by Bisbee resident Jeff Harris, who is now trying to have the election results on the city’s three propositions set aside.
Harris filed three petitions to set aside the election results of the three propositions on the primary election ballot. Proposition 400 was to get voter approval of the Home Rule Option to enable the city to spend the money needed to provide services for the residents.

A very common ploy among govt attorneys who oppose a ballot measure is to
write misleading and/or confusing ballot descriptions so as to reduce the
chances of a negative (to the govt) outcome. Such is the case in Sierra Vista
where City Attorney Stu Fauver approved a description of the Wards System
proposition that will appear on the November ballot. If approved by SV voters
it will create a major shift in local politics. … And the city council says
nothing. Try reading it for yourself and see if it is, as the law requires, a
simple, easy-to-understand, description of a wards system: on the city

This has dragged out FOREVER. It is time for Harris to gracefully accept the
will of the people, instead of attempting to thwart it at every turn, for his
own personal gain.
