Yes, it will have some “kinks”, however, the owners or managers should have
these worked out BEFORE the place opens, not after. As someone who worked
their way through college as a waitress, I’d be appalled to let someone go
w/o water and bread, particularly if the wait for taking one’s order is long.
Especially if they have to wait an hour for their food. Were I that
gentleman, the one who waited for an hour for their food to arrive from the
kitchen, I’d have walked out and gone across the street. Subway isn’t Italian
food but it’s made to order, the bread’s fresh and you get it in a matter of
a minute or so. Good service is dead in this country.

My wife and I went to the new restaurant on the 11th and had a very different
experience then the previous poster. Water was refilled before the glass was
even half empty, bread was brought to the table with our drinks, service was
with a smile and quick. Food was tasty and the portions were just right.
Everyone in our party was satisfied with the service and the food and plan on
returning. The only negative I had about the night was no wine :( Apparently
they are still waiting on their liquor license.

And with all that said I forgot to mention the food. Maybe because that’s
what I thought of it. After waiting an hour for it, I didn’t have enough time
to eat it. The few bites I did take didn’t even make up for the awful service
and experience. Tasted like any average pasta dish…

Title: Follow Up--

Went during lunch. There are about 13-15 tables. Only 3 servers, 2 kitchen
staff. The place was packed. But that doesn’t excuse the fact that I asked
for bread and more water numerous times. It seemed as if my requests were
being dismissed until the server deemed necessary. I will however note,
must’ve been one of the owner’s friends or someone of some importance in this
town, I noticed he and his party had appetizers and drinks before other
patrons even had bread. It was to the point that another couple walked out
after waiting 15 minutes. Seems like this restaurant has more than “kinks” to
work out.

Title: Poor Reviews

This new restaurant is getting poor reviews. If it’s as bad as some of the
commnts being made, it won’t last for very long.

Good service is something to be noted in this town. Very few places have good
staff. Kinks to be worked out or not, good friendly service isn’t a “kink” it
should be common place.

common knowledge is that all new businesses are going to have problems when
they first open, too many people rush to the opening of a new place and then
give a bad review because it was not up to par, give it a few weeks or so to
get the kinks worked out and then give a review.

Title: service

Was the food good? Fresh? Tasty? Appealing? You didn’t mention that. Was the
place crowded or empty? Was the staff just standing around or were they busy?
Did they have enough staff to handle the crowd or was staff minimal. Lousy
review. Left out all the important details.

Title: Let us know

When it closes.

Middle Desert on Fri, 09/10/2010 - 14:37

Would definitely NOT recommend! Went there for lunch and the service was
awful. I had to ask 3 times for more bread. My drink glass was empty for 20
minutes. I’m not kidding, this place will be out of business quicker than it
took to open.
