Kelly places the crosshairs squarely on Rep. Giffords
GOP hopeful speaks to more than 80 on Saturday
SIERRA VISTA — There’s a little trouble at home with Republican congressional hopeful Jesse Kelly’s recently born son, Luke.
“He sleeps all day, so he must be a liberal,” Kelly told an appreciative crowd of more than 80 people Saturday as he warmed them up to a conservative stump speech in which the target was two-term Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Noting they are tied at 46 percent according to the most recent poll, Kelly said, “In a couple of months I’ll be your congressman.”

as long as his name is NOT Gabby, he has my vote.
Nice start.. now how does he feel about the Border and immigration reform?
MyBella, I read you message and can’t determine to whom you refer. Whom is
the “he” to which you refer about Border and immigration reform?
Here is an idea, secure an amendment to the constitution that will set a
determine length of being a member of the congress & senate. Until, this
happens NO politician will completely work for us the people who vote those
fools into office. There is a term limit for the president, why not have one
in place for other offices on the Federal & state levels? Another thing, the
analogy in the heading about crosshairs is ignorant & should be recanted,
there is no need for that trash in the media at all! Until November, why
don’t we start a grassroots petition effort for a Constitutional amendment
precisely written in clear, concise English regarding term limits? One term
in office on the Federal & State levels! We have enough bright people who
could contribute a great deal to AZ & the United States of America.
Furthermore, lobbyists should be banned from Federal & state buildings! IF
you cannot read English stay in your land & help their economy. You’re a
burden on the U.S.A. for too much!
Wow! This political race is starting out with a bang. I am pleased to read
that Kelly is taking the position that he will not mess with my Social
Security Income. At 84 years of age I paid into that fund for many years
hoping to get something in return from that investment.
“Kelly said, “In a couple of months I’ll be your congressman.”
And then little Jesse woke up!!
“There will not be an end to Social Security for people now drawing the funds
or for those close to doing it, the GOP candidate emphasized. “But future
generations have to have an option,” Kelley said.”
The only way the math works is for those under 55 to continue to pay the tax
until all of those over 55 die. Then they get nothing. Fix the program or end
it now. Anything else is the worse kind of voodoo economics….
Do you even know what the term “Voodoo Economics” means? Apparently not or
else you would of used it differently as there is nothing about the social
security system that is supply side economics. Just pasting terms you heard
somewhere without know what they mean, really makes you look foolish.
A fixed cap was placed on Social Security many years ago forcing inflation to
beat up on low income folks. Congress should have tied the cap to ride with
the inflation rate yet I don’t see any candidate addressing this issue.
“Kelly said, “In a couple of months I’ll be your congressman.” Maybe if
he comes clean and reveals the amount he spent on the primary campaign. Did
he win because he was ABLE to outspend the other candidates? Was he ABLE to
beat his opposing candidates because he was ABLE not to work to provide for
his family? Lets see some answers to this publicly!
Funny, I just heard the same thing on TV Saturday: because they can’t run on
their records (which are opposite the will of the majority) the Dems are ONCE
AGAIN running the Social Security scare game.
The major problem I have is that BOTH parties just love to spend money that
isn’t theirs and are so quickly corrupted with power they really don’t have
under our Constitution.
What I really want to see is a Congress of the people, by the people and for
the people that votes to prohibit themselves from taking a single penny in
“campaign contributions” (I call them bribes when they come from lobbyists)
from anyone other than direct constituents individually rather than as
representatives of businesses and other entities, and enact limits on
themselves to two terms total (either as Representatives, Senators or both)
in Congress. Enough of the career corruption.
