PHOENIX — Terry Goddard struck out Wednesday night at incumbent Gov. Jan Brewer, saying if she wants someone to blame for a drop in tourism she should look in the mirror.

During a televised debate, Brewer repeated her contention that the unions that support Democrats like Goddard are creating problems by urging people to boycott Arizona.

Title: Bad brewer

brewer has never taken responsibility for AZ. Unfortunatel;y the people have
to bear the weight she casts off. She is a disgrace to this state and the
people. She needs to leave her eagles nest and fly away!

Tell us what you know of responsibility. You always want to pass the buck
after all, as well as the god you call Obama, or too many in the party you
support, the Dems.

Title: Debate

How easily people forget about the rancher who was shot and killed near the
border by drug Cartel members plus the Deputy Sheriff who was shot in Pinal
County by the Drug Cartel. Also the Sheriff of Pinal County who was sent a
threatening letter by the Drug Cartel. We have watched the Drug Cartels
shooting and killing citizens South of the Border for a long tome now.
Politicians can help make people forget about these problems by touting their
political agendas.

I agree that the politicians should not forget nor overlook the violence
perpetrated against our citizens by the cartels. I saw neither Brewer nor
Goddard overlooking these individuals during the debate. Goddard focused on
his intent to go after the cartels to stem the violence against Arizonans,
and Brewer brought Krentz up specifically regarding the threat of Mexican
cartel violence leaking into Arizona. And while it holds true that
politicians should not forget the casualties of these drug wars in Arizona,
neither should politicians use these tragedies to tout their own political
agendas. Brewer has used Mr. Krentz’ death as a political opportunity to
exaggerate what is going on in Arizona. While the continued progression of
violence into our borders exists in coming months and years, to exaggerate
(lie, if you will) about the extent of our current problem is shameless and
simply wrong.

Brewer completely forgets her opening remarks. She makes this insane
statement:”There but for the grace of God, I showed up.” Then it got worse
for her. Evan Mecham in a skirt only dumber. Only an insanely partisan idiot
would vote for her.

as a matter of fact, with the numbers of people polling in support of
SB1070—nationwide as well, I am glad to see the Justice Dept. filing more
lawsuits. The Dems are going to be wiped in the elections.

So Brewer has to take responsibility for the state, which she has, but yet
when we call for Obama to take responsibility for the country he keeps
blaming Bush. Jack you are right about the pot calling the kettle black.

Title: C'mon, HR...

Brewer taking responsibility for Arizona? How so? She fails to take
responsibility for her own lack of ability to force our State Legislature to
pass a balanced State budget. She fails to take responsibility for her own
mis-statements (which can sometimes be impressive in their “dooziness”). It
is true that the Obama administration should take more direct responsibility
for Federal inaction and mis-action, don’t go re-directing attention, here
HR. If we have inept individuals in our State Legislature (Dem and Repub) and
in our Governor’s mansion, shouldn’t we, as Arizonans, revisit the reasons
for our choices in elections that got those inept people in those positions
to begin with?? Arizonans have the full power to determine who sits in those
seats (as opposed to National elections, where we can be overruled in the
Executive branch elections). If we have idiots in the State leadership, it is
because WE put them there. This debate made me feel embarrassed FOR Jan
 Brewer.

Title: Debate

I watched the debate for awhile, but it seemed to be a situation where the
pot called the kettle black. the economy is a national problem and not the
fault of Arizona.
