PALOMINAS — A pair of defiant politicians — an Arizona legislator and the Maricopa County sheriff — put the federal government on notice Sunday that they and many Arizonans will not back down in seeking state authority against illegal immigration spilling over the border with Mexico.
Saying he is tired of Mexico leaders putting the onus on the United States for that nation’s problems, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, defended Arizona’s Senate Bill 1070, which he said has been emasculated by a federal judge.

I said Constitutional rights. They have human rights. We can’t stave them. We have to give them food, shelter, water,basic medical care. They have no right to the 1st,2nd ,4th 5th, and several other Constitutional rights because only citizens or legal aliens and residents do!!
does it say anything about giving illegal aliens "food, shelter, water,basic medical care."???

All we as a country need to do is "model" our immigration law after theirs.
I am pleased to see Gabby Giffords getting in on the act of criticising those
who want to sue the State of Arizona for coming against ILLEGAL Immigration.
I believe our largest threat is from the ILLEGAL Drug Cartels. Go for it

Thats a very good point, since a stance contrary to illegal immigration makes
one a “Racist” or a “Nazi”, what does that mean for Giffords with her newly
discovered values?

When will you learn, you can’t break the argument by demonizing the
individual.
Not making them a scapegoat, he is telling the truth. What do you think
Mexico has been saying about us? They keep saying we are supplying weapons to
them but if you look at the types of weapons, ie AK-47’s, they are receiving
then you will know that the US does does not make the AK-47 or the ammo for
it so they are coming from someplace else but yet we are still getting the
blame from Mexico. Joe is right, Mexico is the problem and until they fix the
problem we will have illegals and drugs coming into this country.
Auntie Em: I am of the opinion that Mexico makes them selves the scapegoat.
They have been behind most of the law suits against Arizona and they don’t
want to take care of their own people. They send them to the US of A for
healthcare and what ever the ILLEGALS can get out of we tax payers.
Does Arapio spend any time in Maricopa county? He seems like he is on a
constant self promotion tour all over the country and only goes home for
court appearances dealing with his own misconduct.
From all I have read here, Henry, I think Joe has more guts fighting for
Arizona and America then you do.
