SIERRA VISTA — Between 800 and 1,000 freshmen and new students trekked out to Buena High School on Saturday for the annual Colt Walk About and a chance to check out their new academic digs.

It was an opportunity to locate and organize their lockers, find the quickest routes between classrooms and see a few familiar faces, said Vice Principal Elaine Carlson.

It’s a fun time,” she said. “There’s teachers to answer questions, there are signs from the student council, and some of the cheerleaders are there.”
