SIERRA VISTA — After temporarily halting all LifeNet helicopters in Arizona following Wednesday’s fatal crash in Tucson, the air ambulances are now back in service.

Colorado-based Air Methods Corp. put its six LifeNet Arizona bases and seven helicopter crews on a safety stand-down as a precaution, said Aaron Todd, the company’s CEO. The AS350 B3 Eurocopter had undergone routine maintenance in Marana and was en route to its home base in Douglas when it crashed.
