Gov. Jan Brewer:

She (Judge Susan Bolton) was very well informed. She was very thoughtful. I think both sides of this debate, the people were impressed by her latitude and her breadth of understanding of what she was doing.

But the bottom line is, is that I look at this as a bump in the road. This is a temporary injunction saying that the feds don’t have to do their job.

Current law on immigration is semi broken. Semi in that emigrants may legally
immigrate. It works quite well regardless of original country. Broken in that
we have south of the US a source of continuing cheap labor invading our
Nation (not that I blame them) encouraged by the Mexican Government and
apparently endorsed by our own Federal Government. I think in one of the
Federalist papers it is written that the States have the right to defend
themselves, not only from a foreign entity, but from a neighboring state and
yes, even the Federal Government. That is what the 2d Amendment was based
upon: the individual being able to defend ones self because an armed militia
was necessary (which could conceivably keep a corrupt government/despot in
power). Read them yourself. So, here we have a sovereign state that cannot,
in the face of federal neglect, enact a law designed to protect the state and
the nation. It is based upon economics rather than national security; think
 invasion!

“the fact that the enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws is the
responsibility of federal government. It is time — in fact, it is way past
time — for the federal government to start taking that responsibility
seriously.” I agree with Rep. Giffords but why is it that her seriousness of
border security is now taken serious by her? Is she acting like a
conservative instead like a liberal because of the upcoming election? Will
anti-Arizona Rep. Raul Grijalva now call off the dogs that are boycotting the
state of Arizona? I hope voters will remember his representation of illegals
instead of legal citizens.
