SIERRA VISTA — The sheriff’s office is assisting Huachuca City police after one of the police department’s vehicles was shot early Friday.

No one was injured when, at around 3:30 a.m., an officer with the Huachuca City Police Department heard a noise outside his home in lower Huachuca City and went to investigate, said Lt. Jennifer Fuller.

The officer inspected the marked Dodge Dakota in his driveway and saw a bullet hole in the rear passenger door. The window above the bullet hole had also been shattered, Fuller said.
