Bisbee salutes ‘gentle giant’ during memorial
BISBEE — It was hard enough saying “goodbye” to Charlie Giacomino when he left school due to illness last year. Monday, it was even more difficult as the memorial service in his honor got under way.

Hearing of his passing was kind of hard for me. I didn’t even know he was
sick until I spoke with family back in AZ he was a great teacher and he
wanted all his students to succeed and I look back on so many remarks and
things he would say and they weren’t to put us down it was to make us thing
about what we were doing. I thank you Charlie for your great motivation you
gave to us to succeed!
Rest in peace, Charlie. You were a great guy and we will never forget you.
I remember the pencils in my bucket for halloween, I was a little mad that I
got pencils instead of candy. Its funny when your young and you get mad at
people for the littlest and dumb things, he was always stern but always ment
well. He only wanted us to succeed. He was a great teacher and coach.
Godbless him. My prayers are with the family. Im so sorry.
