Cochise College student Reynaldo Ruiz, right, is presented a scholarship check by Larry Saunders, president of the Southeastern Arizona Association of Contractors, during SACA’s regular monthly meeting on Wednesday. The $500 scholarship is aimed at supporting full-time college students enrolled in construction courses at the college, said Joe Kraps of SACA. Ruiz, 24, is starting his second semester this year and already has experience working for a number of local contractors, he said.
