DOUGLAS — In the old frontier days, it was the U.S. cavalry that came to the rescue of the people, Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet said Saturday.
But now, American freedoms are in jeopardy because “The U.S. government is sending in lawyers to harass citizens” and to force other unconstitutionally distasteful political medicines down their throats, she told more than 100 people at a tea party event at the Gadsden Hotel.
One listening to her was Gabriela Mercer, who would talk about her desires to become an American citizen, but doing it legally.

One of the oldest jokes around is the “Hi, I’m from the government and I’m
here to help.” Yet there are still people who see the carrot being waved in
front of their face by the politicians right before an election and fall for
it every time. We have all watched the videos of Obama supporters praising
the fact that their gas and mortgage would be taken care of by the his royal
highness when he got elected. Marciensv is right about the limited choices
during the last election. Most of those who voted for McCain only did so
because they saw the Obama that many are only now seeing. This November and
the election in 2012 will be a lot different.
TO: kyb4725… Look around. Who supported obama? The welfare families, the
gime-gime’s, the pot heads. The fringe of normal society. Sure there were
sone semi-normal people who were tired of what ever their particular passion
was (illegal immigration supporters, medical marijuana, etc). Just after the
election thre were numerous vehicles with obama stickers on them. Where are
they now? Even the morons who elected him have decided to try and hide. The
other day I was on Highway 92, a small vehicle with liberal bumper stickers
pulled (like Make Art Not War)in from of me and slammed on it’s brakes. Yep,
I reported them to the police, but I don’t see them anymore either…
Dave, your remarks were really unjustified. I voted for Obama and I’m far
from a moron and all the other things you mentioned. If McCain had a better
running mate I might have voted for him. All that is in the past. As far as
drivers….I also have been cut off(numerous times) usually they have
conservative stickers though. I just consider it to be a driver that is
uneducated about the rules of the road. Those drivers come in all political
parties, and all ages.
Who voted for Obama?Warren Buffet, Bill Gates,doctors, lawyers, investment
bankers…Funny that the other wingnuts(the tea party) all seem to be
government employees and retirees. A gime gime bunch if their ever was one.
Better than a union which they all hate.LOL If welfare queens put Obama in
office, SV would have gone Obama by a landslide 80%-20%. Only 19% of SV isn’t
on government healthcare which is the complete opposite of wealthy socialist
cities like Seattle..where most people don’t work for the government. Did you
miss that Sierra Vista’s economy is better than most cities in the state
because it main employer is Obama and the evil federal government? LOL

Why big businesses, like Warren Buffets, Bill Gates, General Electric, Health
care providers, etc.., that want to climb in bed with the Federal government
so they can eliminate their competition while having the government create
laws that will force us to by their products under the penalty of law.

I concur with Dr Vliet’s comments on this new health bill. It has a lot of
concerns to be concerned about. Likewise what Mercer says in this article
makes a lot of sense. We must beware of a socialized medical system. I see
that coming down the road with everthing else that this socialist president
is trying to ram down our thorats. Notice what Mercer says about wanting to
be a legal citizen as opposed to an ILLEGAL. I’m all for that one.
Have you dropped out of socialist medicare yet? Socialized medicine, good
enough for grandma and most of the tea party but not good enough for
hardworking families. They got theirs!!!
I worked for a living all of my life. I paid into Medicare and I paid into
BC/BS/AZ all of my working life. I never expected something for nothing. Even
when I was in the Marine Corps during WW2 I believed I was earning my right
for medicare by doing what the Government sent me overseas to do during that
great war. I certainly did not fight for the socialist government we now
have. What have you done for your country besides shooting off your big
mouth?
FDR was a socialist. Ask any conservative.LOL The money you paid into social
security and medicare went to previous generations. Nobody earns
entitlements.They are not a right. This business of people that get from some
government program or work for some part of the government declaring everyone
else a freeloader is what exactly? Greed? Anyone that thinks the current
government is socialist is a fool. Tossing lies at Obama just like tossing
lies at Bush makes a bigger fool. Turn talk radio off.
