Poll results show U.S. sides with Brewer in regards to new immigration law

PHOENIX — More Americans agree with how Jan Brewer sees the immigration problem than the views of Barack Obama.
But that doesn’t mean they want her to be president.
A new nationwide Rasmussen Reports survey taken in the days after the pair met — a meeting that gained national attention — 34 percent of the 1,000 likely voters said their views on illegal immigration are closer to that of the president. By contrast, 56 percent said they more closely aligned with those of Brewer.

Never reward someone for breaking the law unless it is a left wing
politician. The honor of applying to become a United States citizen comes
with great responsibility. The applicant must not have a criminal history. Be
of good moral character and have an affinity for the principles of the US
Constitution. The applicant must be able to read, write, speak and understand
English. The applicant must have a basic understanding of US Government and
History. There are also residency requirements. In light of these
requirements illegal aliens have violated several of the key conditions to
apply for US citizenship. There are thousands of people who what to immigrate
legally to the US. Their applications must be considered first. Illegal’s
should be required to obtain waivers for their breaking the law before being
allowed to apply for citizenship. Governor Brewer has shown leadership in
demanding respect for the laws of our Nation.
I support Immigration Reform. I would prefer Legal Immigrants who want to
become citizens of the USA rather than Illegals who want only monetary gain
without the responsibilities of citizenship.
The poll results prove that the American people are not as stupid as some
might want them to be. They know what makes sense and they know what needs to
be done for our country to be safe. Why does our government differ with the
people that sent them up there to govern? Can one say they want security but
do the opposite to get it? Wow!
to the extent it proves anything, it DOES show we have a lot of stupid
people.
Only 26% say they know enough about Brewer to form a favorable opinion of
her, but 39% say they would vote for her for President.
Only 34% say they lean toward Obama’s position, but, when asked explicitly
about his “path to legality” policy (which Brewer opposes) 2 weeks ago, 80%
said they favor it.
So the poll shows a large number of people who would vote for a candidate
they know nothing about, and a huge number taking positions on policies they
haven’t bothered to read up on.

tax payer funded abortion would not be part of it? Or maybe you mean like
those pointing to a CNN/Opinion Research poll stating it shows “80 percent
support path to legal status” if they had bothered to read the same poll
shows, (question 35) %60 say the government should stop illegals/deport those
here while only %38 favor “allow to become legal residents”? When a poll
disagrees with itself its hardly something to go around pointing to as source

You got that right Ran. The dems are the dumb ones in this country. Guess you
didn’t see that race in NC where they voted in an unknown in their primary.
The guy was on Mark Levin today and sounded like a 3rd grader (apologies to
3rd graders). He had no clue but yet the dumb dems voted him in and now the
dems want him out because they know he can’t win. Dems voted in that retard
in the oval office too and that goes to show you just how dumb people are.
Now people are getting smart and more want Obama gone now that want him in.

I had not read that Brewer was seeking the office for US President. Where did

appear that many are stupid. Why? first, they elected Obama without knowing
anything about them. Second, the democrats elected Alvin Green in SC to run
for the senate even though they nothing about him (I don’t think he knows
anything about himself either). Alvin spent only about $11,000 of which
$10,000 was for registering to run. He is a felon awaiting a court hearing
for soliciting pornography. Although the voters do not know him, he beat out
a three-term judge who got more brains then Alvin will ever have. He was
elected as a democrat senate candidate even though the electorate doesn’t
know him. But wait, they did know some things about him. They knew his name
and that he has black skin. That is about all the voters knew about Obama
too, right?

enforced. What is not to understand? I don’t get why the media assumes anyone
wants her for President, but she has more experience than Obama that much is
for sure. It shows people want our laws enforced, it is appalling that the

uphold. Shows what he is really about. I think the days of illegals running
this country are coming to an end. The people are fed up and are paying
attention to what is going on. Making a bit hard for Obama to ignore it as it
is coming to a head and he has not made one comment to this country regarding
all the mess on the border this week and the Mexican law enforcement AGAIN
crossing our border and tampering with evidence. Obama has no spine to stand
up for our country. Part of our “troubled economy” is the “ILLEGALS” (correct
spelling). Americans need to be taken care of first, not ILLEGALS.
what’s really “appalling” is that you don’t know that the law the President
has explicitly sworn to “uphold” is the Constitution.
Which duty includes protecting individuals from those who “want our laws
enforced” when those laws or their enforcement violate the Constitution.
