SIERRA VISTA — Saturday’s GED recognition ceremony was a bittersweet moment for the staff and graduating students of Cochise College’s adult education program. State funding cuts threaten to alter a program many credit for creating new possibilities in their lives.
“These scrolls wrapped in red ribbon are so much more than just diplomas; they’re a key to a brighter future for all of the graduates,” said graduate Patricia Kloppenburg.
