PHOENIX — Some last-minute changes to Arizona’s new law aimed at illegal immigrants are largely meaningless, according to one of the organizations that plans to sue to have it overturned.

Why can’t people come into America legally like we do when we visit other
countries? Why should illegals be allowed to break the law?
Why should illegals be able to use services that we as taxpayers are paying.
The schools in this state would not be in the shape financially like they are
now. Programs would not be cut. The only people to blame for all this are the
illegals. They destory our land and state…offering NOTHING in return.
Approx. 460,000 illegals in this state alone. Enough is enough. We need to
fight back. Ship them back, let them come in legally, pay taxes and be
productive. Mexico and other countries we do not want your illegal criminals.
We are a nation of hard working people. Any ILLEGAL is and always will be a
criminal. Breaking one law after the other. They know the risk entering
illegally. I have NO compassion for them. So many do enter legally. Why do
they think they are so special that they don’t have to.
Actually Illegals help fund the schools. The schools get money based on the
number of students regardless their location. Lets say each student is worth
$100. 50 Americans and 50 illegals would bring in $10,000. If there were no
illegals then the schools would only get $5,000. But they bring down test
scores becuase of the language barriers and the schools have to provide
special ELL services which cost more money.
FM, actually you are not understanding. The schools get funding through taxes
that are paid by legals. They are hard working people. Illegals do not pay
taxes. So they do not contribute to the pot for school funding. I don’t know
how else to explain it. Paying for them and them not contributing is draining
funding….not only for the schools but also other government programs they
are using. Maybe someone else can explain it better. I’m saying this once
again. Come over legally like thousands of others. Their hardships and dreams
are no different than any one elses. Be productive, contribute to this
country. And respect this country. Or don’t come here.
I get your point and it completely makes sense. Thanks for the viewpoint!
The Herald ran a story just yesterday about the state clawing back over a
million dollars from a school district near Tucson because it had enrolled
students who were subsequently found to be illegals.
Plus the county portion of the budget doesn’t get directly adjusted based on
enrollment: even if not discovered by the state, the presence of a
significant number of illegals is likely to reduce the per-pupil local
resources.
Ok but where does that extra 100.5 per illegal come from? It sure doesn’t
come from their parents. You are missing the point. Just because they bring
in more money doesn’t mean there is more money to pay. They are a drain on
our education system plain and simple or did you fail basic math in school?
Are you able to write a post without a negative comment towards someone? Do
you always have to put someone down to make yourself feel better? Make your
point respectfully. I respect and see your point without the rude and harse
comments.
Well I am not politically correct and don’t claim to be. When you make a
stupid comment then I will call you out on it and call it like it is. The
point is your math didn’t add up and you apparently didn’t think about that
before you posted.
It doesn’t matter what the point is. If you do not agree or like someones
perspective you are just rude about it. Thanks for your view. That’s called
respect.
