SIERRA VISTA — Police responding to a report of an explosion discovered a methamphetamine lab at a Sierra Vista mobile home park, authorities said Friday.

Police arrested Curtis W. Seefeld, 46, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug manufacturing equipment.

Police were called to the Sunrise Mobile Home Park, 6131 E. Highway 90, shortly before 9:30 a.m. Thursday after a resident called to inquire about an explosion that was heard the night before, said Tracy Grady, public information officer with the Sierra Vista police.

Title: Observation

For the last decade the drug of choice is probably 85% meth and 10% pot, the
new flavor is prescription drugs that make up that last 5% usage rate. It is
manufactured easily & packaged so small that it can be easily hidden and
transported. The chemical elements that make up the noxious & potent drug are
STILL far too easy to purchase in this nation. With the influx of drugs in
this nation, so many families have been damaged & changed forever because
their children can easily purchase this potent “high” producing drug.
Countless lives are ruined over this dangerous concoction! It is far past
time that we take a stance and educate our children about some realities with
pictures, stories and people’s testimonies of how meth has ruined their lives
and has changed them forever more. We need more drug task forces to get a
stronger hold on fighting this catastrophic element in our society! Meth is a
plague & I pray that everyone on the local, state & Federal level to make it
a memory.

I agree with you but then we might as well restrict just about everything.
All they will do is find other chemicals to make their drugs with so then
more restrictions go into place until finally we can’t buy toothpaste because
it could be used to make drugs. I look at it this way, if you want to destroy
your life using drugs then go for it but don’t expect me to pay for your drug
rehab and your medical bills when you OD. Let folks knock themselves out
using this stuff. …

Title: Level it?

Seems to me there is crime in everybodys back yard but no one wants to see
it! As a neighbor I can say I saw noithing that would have made me believe
there was a meth lab in there..and I will not be accused of being a criminal
because of where I live!

The most amazing part of this problem is that these people can buy guns like
AK-47’s no questions asked and with no ID when they get out of jail. What is
commonly known as the “gun show loophole” allows them to do this. It is the
same loophole that would allow people like bin Laden to come here and buy an
AK-47 with no questions asked. Things that make you go call your
congressional representatives and mandate they close this loophole by
requiring 100% background checks on all gun sales to include private sales. A
gun registration would allow police to track how the drug dealers and
terrorists are getting the guns too.

Why do you even allow this person to post? He or she doesn’t even stay on
topic and all he or she does is copy and paste the same message over every

And this has what to do with the story? Oh, I see, it is another opportunity

Title: Toxic waste.

This is a huge problem all over this country. I watched a special on a
documentary show. They said on the show that for every pound of “dope” they
get from this “cooking” process. they produce 10 pounds of toxic waste that
is usually just thrown out on the ground or flushed. Imagine what the effects
on the ground and the water table might be. Not to mention the explosions and
fire hazard and the fumes from that garbage I believe that these people would
benefit from MUCH longer prison sentences and keep them away from the other
prisoners so that they share their “recipes”. A police officer told me that
it sometimes smells like very strong cat urine when it was cooking.

Title: Level it!

That trailer park should be leveled. Nothing there but a drug and crime
 festoon.
