Medical marijuana provision aids workers who test positive
PHOENIX — What happened to a Walmart worker in Michigan who was fired for testing positive for marijuana probably could not happen in Arizona if voters approve a ballot measure in November.
The initiative would allow doctors to essentially prescribe marijuana to patients who are suffering from any one of a specific set of conditions. It also would allow creation of a network of nonprofit shops that would sell marijuana to those who have those prescriptions and let those not within 25 miles of a shop to grow their own.

Legalize marijuana. Much like healthcare reform, it is about time. It was the
only thing that helped me with cancer pain last year.
Prescription Drugs are illegal without a prescription so what’s the
difference? Many people abuse prescription drugs, where’s the outcry over
that? I think if it is proven to help people with certain medical conditions
then what’s the problem?
If it becomes a prescription drug it will be legal for those who can get
prescriptions. For those who misuse it like any other prescription drug, woe
be unto them.
Oy! It’s either legal or it’s not. If OK by prescription don’t tax it. Go
along with the joke. If you come to work drunk you should be fired, if stoned
likewise. I can see it now - Doctor, “Take a half-pint of vodka and call me
in the morning.” Or, “Smoke a joint every evening, call me if you don’t feel
better.” Go ahead and make the crap legal and tax it like alcohol. Users will
still have to deal with the Federal pit bulls but you may ease the Drug Lord
chaos going on across the border a trifle.
