PHOENIX — State lawmakers voted Wednesday to force public schools to count how many students are in this country illegally, the first step toward challenging federal law that requires schools to educate all, legal and otherwise.
Officially, Sen. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, said SB 1097, approved on a 5-2 margin by the Senate Committee on Education Accountability and Reform, is simply a fact-finding
effort.

I disagree with American taxpayers paying for the education of illegal
immigrants. Our education system is already in shambles with not enough money
to pay for the education of our own citizens.
Well, hmmm, know this will offend libs, but if one is not a citizen, then let
their home nation educate them. In Naco, you can watch the kids cross the
border from Mexico to our school, then return home. That’s not justice, it’s
taking advantage of American taxpayers. Sit in on a class someday and see how
many non-English speakers there are. They slow the class down; it is not the
most education for the most children, but rather inferior education for all.
So why don’t we all just renounce our citizenship and stop paying taxes and
ride the illegal status to free education, free health care, beans and rice
at christmas and toys for tots. I can’t believe this stupid law. If thei
parent or parents are paying property taxes then charge them tuition, get the
money, then kick them out of the country.
