SIERRA VISTA — When it comes to the possibility of a water district board for the Sierra Vista Watershed, one supporter said the main issue is ensuring Fort Huachuca is protected.
To do it, Gene Fenstermacher, said “the future of the fort should be the primary focus of any viable candidate.”
He was talking about the proposed upcoming two-part ballot in the November election, which will ask residents in the proposed district if a permanent board should be established and to elect a seven-member board.

I remember when a dispictable character came down from Phoenix and made
threats about closing down Fort Huachuca to save water. I believe he knew
that if that happened, it would practically dry up the community. That would
be a poor way to conserve water.
But he stopped short. Every member of the water board the is spewing, should
be water boarded.
Second time today you made me laugh out loud! Great sense of humour, thanks
The water board wants to get voted in, so what better way to do it, than to
say if we don’t win the vote the Fort is going away.
We don’t need a water board, perhaps we should water board whoever thought
this one up.

This is a prime example of a scare tactic. The proposed water board is a
waste of taxpayer money and any hint that it will serve to ensure the Fort
stays open is hogwash.
