TUCSON — While President Barack Obama is “doing a terrific job,” Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords said his decision to commercialize the U.S. space program is wrong.

I don’t agree with him on this particular point,” she said Tuesday.

Expressing concerns that the country’s national security could be harmed if private companies are given the opportunity to send missions into space, the Arizona Congressional District 8 representative said “it’s not a good idea.”

Now Obama and his folks (czars and party) are going ape on getting NASA
privatized. Why? How come they did not go ape trying to privatize the
universal health care system? Are they trying too write of NASA because it is
not ideologically important to them? What’s to control at NASA anyway?

Gabby Giffords is thinking about Gabby Giffords, I suppose she KNOWS that it
would not be good for both she and her Space Man Husband to be “out of
work”…To borrow a quote from the movie “The Right Stuff” “No bucks, no Buck
Rogers!” So the idea that she is voting against the Obama space plan is only
taking care of Gabby and her “special interests”. They will be making snow
balls in Satan’s ‘hood when I vote for a Democrat/Progressive/er Commie. It
makes little difference what or who runs against her. The only assurance I
want from the Republican Presidential Candidate is that they will NEVER
consider a pardon for the Criminals who are trying to dismantle our country
to give it to the TERRORISTS who are sneaking into our country via the
borders. NO AMNESTY!

Giffords will only vote No to anything IF Nancy Pelosi gives her permission.
She does whatever Pelosi tells her to do. …

Maybe we should fix the ileagal money wagon first! 45% of all workers in L.
A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people)are working for cash and not
paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants
working without a green card. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are
for illegal aliens. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are
illegal aliens. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal
alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers. Nearly
46% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here
illegally. The FBI reports 65% of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegal
aliens from south of the border. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD propert
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 39% are on welfare.

I believe I read somewhere that Gabby was the lone voter in favor of this
among all Democrats & Republicans. Looks to me like this was not just a
political move.

Economy is going down the toilet, education and state parks are taking a hit,
the illegals are a big issue, house are being forclosed, unemployment is on
the rise, BUT we are concerned about the space program. I think the money
needs to be spend more wisely.

The only reason Giffords is speaking out against the latest Obama fiasco is
because it affects *her*. She has no interest in representing the people of
Arizona simply because she no longer lives here, but in Texas with her
husband and step children. Time for Giffords to stop seeking office in
Arizona and try in her new home state. Let the people of Arizona be
represented by someone who actually appreciates it here. I attempted to get
her assistance once with a Veteran’s/Retiree’s issue and I was told by her
aide, (and I wrote it down because I couldn’t believe it) “Ms. Giffords isn’t
interested in getting involved in this issue as she considers Veteran’s and
Retiree’s affairs to be of a low priority.” Really? Wait until her husband
becomes a Veteran/Retiree and THEN she’ll be interested, I’d wager.

I have always believed that NASA ran the Space Program quite well. I don’t
understand why that should change. Why change a successful program?

NASA should remain a primarily government owned mission. Although contractors
provide most of the work, they work to meet standards and not the bottom
line: profit! If the NASA mission becomes a privately owned business then it
is no longer directed by the nations interests but by the private owners
personal goals and bottom line. With Obama eagerly supporting this switch to
privatization, and the attempts of government to take over major industries
and institutions in the nation, his move is suspect and contrary to his goals
of CHANGE from a capitalist system to a socialist one. There is something
fishy about this! What is the hidden (obviously not transparent) agenda here?
